The
examination and courses of study followed up to
class VIII (Middle Level) are those prepared by the
National Council of Educational Research and
Training. From Class IX onwards, the scheme of
studies prescribed for the 10+2 pattern by the CBSE
is adopted in Kendriya Vidyalayas. The students are
prepared for the AISSE (Class X) and AISSCE (Class
XII) Exams of the CBSE, New Delhi. Due emphasis is
laid on the curriculum on national identity and
value education.

Session spans from April to March of consecutive years
organized into 3 terms.

It is
mandatory that in each term the child takes a unit
test of 40 marks in each subject and completes a set
of assignments for 30 marks.

Project
work of 100 marks is to be completed in each subject
during the session as per plan.

A common
Regional Mid term and Session Ending Examination is
held from class VI onwards.

There are
Monthly achievement test in classes X and XII and
three Common Regional Pre-Board Examinations are held.

In the
Secondary and Senior Secondary classes a cumulative
weightage of 60% on continuous assessment of test,
project, assignment and 40% of final assessment is
considered for promotion.
